Interior Applications

From the warmth and beauty of hardwood timber flooring to the design potential of internal timber panelling. The applications and uses of timber in the indoor environment are limited only by the imagination.

MRH manufactures a wide range of interior timber products from a diverse selection of Australian hardwoods. Our product range includes the following:-

1. Flooring

Natural timbers are elegant, stylish, beautiful and durable. No other flooring material, natural or man-made, can match the lasting beauty and sheer durability of solid hardwood. The classic style of a traditional timber floor makes hardwood strip flooring virtually fashionproof. A polished timber floor will look as stylish in 20 years’ time as it does today.

We supply an extensive range of  kiln dried east coast hardwood floorings. MRH strip flooring is precisionmilled, providing a wear layer that can be refinished many times over, providing a lifetime of enjoyment. It is manufactured with a tongue and groove Uninail profile that is also endmatched for a tight boardtoboard fit and a continuous, stable surface.

Sizes - 80mm x 19mm, 130mm x 19mm & 180mm x 19mm
Profile - Tongue and Groove Uninail – Precision-milled, the Uni-Nail profile is designed for a tight plank-to-plank fit. Tongue and groove joints on both sides and ends of the plank allow installation without the ends having to fall directly over a joist or batten. The result is less cutting and less waste.

2. Internal Panelling

Internal panelling, also known as timber lining, is not just a practical means of covering one or more walls and ceilings in a building, its inclusion in a room's interior design can generate looks that are both dramatic and stylish. A wide variety of appearances can be achieved using the natural timber features in combination with an applied finish.

Internal panelling is available in either solid natural timber or finger jointed which is both durable and hardwearing.

Profile design influences both appearances and fixing requirements. All MRH panelling profiles require 'face nailing' i.e. where nails heads are either purposely expressed, or punched and filled to minimise visual impact.

3. Interior Stairs

Interior staircase work is considered a specialised area of carpentry and joinery as its construction requires high levels of workmanship, detail and accuracy. Many interior stairs are built from quality joinery timber, cut and seasoned especially for staircases. Interior stairs differ considerably in design, from simple straight flights, commonly used in domestic work, to more elaborate stairs, constructed purposely as stand out features in public and commercial buildings.

MRH supplies stair treads, landings, stringers, risers, winders and trims for internal staircases. We offer a large range of non-structural, kiln dried, east coast hardwood species in solid or laminated form.
